Preferences Manager for Lotus Notes
Allow Lotus Notes administrators and developers to easily set or clear individual bits in the preferences line
Many of the configuration options for Lotus Notes are maintained using single or multiple bits in the 'preferences' line in the notes.ini file. The Wolcott Group Preferences Manager (PM) program allows administrators and developers to set or clear individual bits in the preferences line using either a command line or dialog interface. When you run the program, you specify the location of the notes.ini file, the bit you wish to modify and whether you want the bit set or cleared.
Preferences Manager is most useful when you need to support multiple configurations on a single machine, and the Location profiles in the personal Name and Address Book do not support the parameter you wish to modify. An example for this is the "Prompt for Location" parameter. If you needed to have a user prompted for location only in certain circumstances, you can use PM in a login script or batch file to set this parameter prior to running Lotus Notes.
